Defining a social network...

Just a few years ago a "social network" was something that we belonged to through physical spaces in our reality such as school, church, our neighborhood, our friends, or via our political league. Now "social networks" have taken on an entirely different meaning. A social network is still that group of individuals you know face to face in your physical world, but there are thousands of "social networking" sites that have popped up around the internet. Some of the most popular of these are:
MySpace
Bebo
Facebook
Yahoo Groups
Google Groups
MSN Groups

and many, many others.

A social network is a great way to connect with friends, family, and OF COURSE new customers. This is a virtually untapped market of individuals who are sick to death of being marketed to in old fashioned ways, but have a much higher response rate when targeted via their social network.
Social Network marketing has shown to increase business exposure and sales by up to 55% in just 24 hours.
Social Network marketing has a much higher response rate than general email, snail mail, and television ads combined.
Social Network marketing can be highly effective, but without the right tools is VERY time consuming.
Many savvy businesses are paying people to "socially network" for them, up to $30 per hour, when in fact this same social networking can be done for less than a $20 one time flat fee.

There are several social networking program to the right that go for around $15-$45, with entire social networking and email packages targeting billions for less than $130...

If you need help figuring out what these do and where to start let me know. That's what I'm here for...

Happy Marketing!
