One of the problems that I hear about time and time again is lost customer data, lost computer data, and lost computerized marketing materials.
There are two ways to tackle this problem; prevent it, or fix it.
Prevention Techniques:
Back up your hard drive on a regular basis. I just ran into a guy today who did not know what he was going to do as an entire partitioned section of his hard drive had crashed and he lost his customer data, a database that was over 20,000 individuals. It held his sales data, return data, promotions data, and even his tax and financial data. All gone. There are many online backup programs for cheap. Use them.
Fix It:

Either way losing important customer data, or personal data is stressful and can be prevented.
